A Chapter by Tkess

Let us go, you and I

With the evening spread against the sky

This curtain closed on an empty stage

We will walk these lonely streets

Darkened alleys, muttering retreat

Restless nights in cheap hotels

Two open hearts and dreams to tell

The morning fog as it creeps

thick and sweating through the streets

Love is whispers of dreams and regret

Less remembered, lest we forget
