Who am I?

Who am I?

A Poem by Tobias Ådin
"

A poem about self-identity.

"
Who am I?
Who are you?
Who are we?
Questions old as time itself.
Who am I?
Am I shadow of another
Or am I the light?
Am I a mirror
Or just my own reflection?
What is real,
What is but an illusion?
Are we real,
Or are we figments of imagination,
Conjured up by the universe itself?
Do I exist freely,
Or am I constrained
To what someone else thinks?
Am I alive,
Or am I perhaps a ghost?
Am I free to decide
Or is the choice not my own?
Can you tell me who I am
Without taking away my self-agency?
Do you know who you are?
Are we even real?
Maybe I am just
Myself.
