Gusts and gales

Whipping and lashing into the night,

A storm is brewing,

A storm is brewing…

And on the dock,

Swaying and rocking with the sea,

She stood waiting,

Waiting,

Waiting…

 

For the sun to shine,

Gold,

Auburn

Ruby rays.

For the comfort of Oklahoma apple orchards,

Sweet intoxications,

Flowers falling,

 

Bliss….

Just bliss….

In the distance,

There,

Grey sails?

White?

 

Restless, the dock tilts.

Anxious, the dock rocks.

A Slick dock.

Ice.

The Current…

Arid Air

 

Why?

Arms cut,

blood is mixing,

salt dicing.

Swim,

Just swim to the ship.
