"

Its an advert for an energy drink, and some may find it funny. Some may not.

Energy In a Can

Girl is pacing around the room, and is clearly talking to someone, but you can’t see whom.

…And I just don’t get how someone could do that to another person. I mean yes he thought that, and fair enough that is what it look liked, but that’s no excuse to go and do that other thing that he did, I mean that’s just crazy. And I’m just going out on a limb here, but are they not just right. It may not seem like it at first, but believe me when I tell you, and I don’t tell a lie when I say I’m telling the truth about something as critical, to the situation that has displayed itself in the palm of my hand. I can’t handle the pressure and I just don’t know what to do with myself, and it is certainly not fair to put this on me. I may be known for my problem solving skills, but it’s too much, its too much for any person to have to deal with. I just cant. Please. Please. Please. Tell me what I should do.

Camera shows that she was talking too a bottle. A bottle is displayed, with the words “Energy In A can”.  She opens the bottle, takes a gulp, and slams the bottle down.

It makes so much sense now.

Advert style dramatic voice Sais

“Energy In A Can, making you a better you”

Girl is on the phone, “I solved it…

Advert style voice, “Hey, you little… (Advert ends before you here the end of the sentence)

Hey! Nice ad. I have no doubt that energy in a can would be a smash hit with the kids. However, I must question the Brand Manager's decision to call their product "Energy in a Can" - doesn't this bottleneck (geddit) them into packaging the drink in a can, hence limiting their expansion into new realms such as bottles?

In all seriousness, it's an entertaining read, and the punchline, though woefully predictable, is fresh and comical. One point - "but are they not just right" doesn't seem to mean anything to me. Perhaps it's the lack of punctuation throwing me off, but surely it should read "but are they not just right?", or more simply, "aren't they right?" - then again maybe it's just me.

Anyway, top screenplay, seriously looking forward to your forthcoming work.
