The Glory of Jesus and Allah

The Glory of Jesus and Allah

A Poem by Tomás Ó Cárthaigh
"

God save us from those who fight in His name.

"

The Glory of Jesus and Allah

Or another dieties name

Or peace, is used as a reason for war

And bandied without any shame

And the campaign to unite all men

Under a common God, without any hate

Serves to divide all men

Achieving the opposite of what it does state

Is its aim, and causes confusion

And causes nothing but woe

God protect us from all that fight in your name

And mercy to us all let you show.

I can relate to the sentiment behind this. A very thought-provoking piece.

Let's all unite against a common enemy in the name of ( capitol lettered Being )
Why? Who needs a reason? We have a supreme (capitol lettered Name needed here) on our side
There's always two sides, never any more, for they who turn to war. Or commit acts of Terror.
Or denigrate others who flocked together for the Common Good. Safety in numbers Tomas.
I like number seven, or was it three? By Odin's left eye I canna remember!
