I tried writing acrostics but I never found them to be easy. :(

I agree with your sentiments here, Tom. I believe love is best shown by helping others in need. "venerated" is a really apt word and I admire you for having chosen that to describe someone who shows a noble deed of love, no matter how simple.

Looking forward to reading more poems of yours, Tom. I visit your profile every now and then but you haven't written new ones as of late. That's why I keep digging your old ones. ;) Have a great day ahead!

Ha! It's interesting you have asked.....a terrific wind storm here tangled three electrical lines running to the major transformer at the end of the street, and as a result the transformer "went crazy", popping, sparking, and ready to blow! The fire department came, the electric company cut power and all was dark for a while (some cozy candles burning) and then it was back on. "Me thinks" a witch's broom got caught in them to be honest........laughing with my loudest Halloween cackle!! Did you have a good eve - lots of Trick or Treaters?

I hid under the bed Sheila until it was all over ! All those spooky poems got to me !! lol Although wasn't that a strange coincidence your power blacking out ! Or was there more to it ?? (creepily laughing here ) !!

Run from her my friend
Take an old foo'ls advice
Run as fast as you can
And don't even look twice

For she's as crazy as a loon
Watch your steps very closely
She's been known to howl at the moon

Run from her my friend
Though she's as sweet as can be
But when you're not looking
It's like running into a tree

Before she casts her spell
For you just may end up
Burning in the depths of Hell

And don't you listen to her giggle
