Beast Within

I was once asked to identify

The beast within my heart

I started at my reflection

Confused and Lost

How could they ask such things

Would I ever want to know

For the beast within me smiled

Dared me to point her out

The sweet scent of blood

Poured into the room

Woke up blind and dazed

She had yet again won.

Do not fear me child, I am but what you wish that you could be

The power and the beauty

Intoxicating!

Wide eyed and terrified i took her small soft hand

Such alive beneath my palm

Pulsating with blood!

I wanted her no doubt 

To touch me

To show me everything she knew...

I love the chilly effect, from the beginning, till the end, and the way you personify a figment of your mind, so powerful like reality, and very much real. I could feel that feeling of power, a bit sickening, but also so full of emotions. I like your poetry, it's daring. The ending left this thrilling suspense feeling, leaves you waiting, wanting.
