The Midnight Man

A poem about the Urban Legend known as The Midnight Man

The man of midnight, the man of 12
The punisher of rule breakers, the man from hell.
You can bring him about with a simple little prayer,
After this however, there is no getting out of there.
You’re going to be stuck all alone,
With just you and him, in your home.
And you have to survive until 3:33,
Even so, he’ll never let you be.
He’ll be there with you,
Every day and every night.
Through and through
Until you see your last light.
