PerceptionA Poem by TrosqueMy personal take on perception, there's a narration on sound cloud by Ryan Prizio http://soundcloud.com/ryan.prizio/perception-poem
A curse of perception, was cast upon me;
Now, all of your wrong doings, I can see, Everything wrong, even within myself; This curse, this pain, this living hell, One late night in the forest dark; Is where this entire hell first had start, We heard a rumor, of a beautiful creature; At first I thought it was curiosity, but it is much deeper, I felt compelled to go and see; And myself uncover, this mystery, This creature, was said to have such grace; As well as beauty, and power, never seen by any face, However what we found, was not power, nor beauty; but a being of anger, hatred, and fury, She showed us a truth, that filled us with fear; The fear that left us paralyzed and drowning in tears, We were all taught to see the error of our ways; But the others couldn't take it, and died that day, The truth I was shown, was the wrong in the world; That knowledge felt like it turned my brain into mold, I see now, exactly what that creature was; She was the personification was all that is lost, Those who felt lost and misunderstood: All their rage and fear, in front of me stood, I see now the beauty, in her rage and fear; Simply misunderstood, and needed an ear. I see now how broken it is, all of humanity; You're all so broken and living in vanity, Your eyes are so broken, and need to be fixed; So the moment you see me, I'll perform a little trick, Away with your sight, gone with your lies; And you'll see life the way I do, without any eyes.... © 2014 Trosque |
