Slip and Fall

Slip and Fall

A Poem by Horse of a Different Color
"

Love that was lost.

"
Spinning and twirling,Sliding and falling.
I am being dragged into a dark abyss.
This unknown hole of vacancy and despair.
The bottom is nowhere in sight.
Feeling the life being sucked out of me,
Through a hole in my chest where my heart used to be.
Burning and pain fill my body and mind.
How long will it last?
That is your choice.
I want it to stop,
Quickly not slow.
Your lasting impression will not let it ease.
Tell me what it will take to catch your eye?
For all that i want is you!
When i am hurting i see your smile,
The burning does ease for a moment but brief.
Things i thought meant a lot in life,
Lost the value they once held.
You have overtaken them all!
The only thing that has value in my life is you.

Horse of a Different Color
I have almost 50 of what i call writings, I am not sure how to categorize them because not all would meet my classification of a poem or poetry.
