What Is Love?

What does it take for the word to have its meaning

 

What is love?

What do the words mean?

It's pure like a dove,yet at times, it can't be seen.

At times, love is undisputed,

the ability to hang on and cope.

To be never be defeated,

even when you lost all hope.

 

When the promises you made,

are ment to never break.

The endless feelings will never fade,

through and through all the heartache.

Love will take you like quicksand,

even when your deep and low.

You still manage to hold her hand,

never ever wanting to let go.

 

When you're on top of the world

and you are will to jump straight down.

Just beacause shes alone in the cold.

Wanting to be the one that gives her a crown.

Even when youre on your knees crying,

just because shes feeling pain.

Sitting there helpless watching her suffering,

just that thought is driving you insane.

 

When youre willing to lose everything,

the adrenaline rushes your heartbeats.

And the pain feels as if its nothing.

To you, theres no such thing as limits.

 

That is what love is truly suppose to mean,

but if its true love, then it will continue to breathe.

What a deep, thought provoking write! It stirs the emotions very well. Love is truly much stronger than many think. I was intrigue by the title of this poem as I have a write by the same name....only I think I used 3 ??? on mine.
