Sudden Burst of Color

Sudden Burst of Color

A Poem by J.Truth

~Sudden Burst of Color~

Looking back to yesterday
the sky was the color of a lifeless grey
the weather seemed to do as it may

Suddenly came a wind that blew so strong
making my mood feel oh so wrong
I miss the feel of spring grasses sway

I beg for this weather to change
when i tear my gaze away
waiting for a time when I'll feel okay again someday

From the blackened horizon
a sudden burst of colors shot through the sky
High, High above!

Along the way it frightened a bewildered dove
seated on a tree where many can see
..the burst of colors that suddenly came to be

Very creative. Your descriptiveness painted a picture in my mind, which shows your talent since what your poem is about it fairly abstract. Your use of inverted syntax also added to the poem. However, song lines didn't seem to flow that well (6 comes to mind) but that's a small criticism for such a creative poem
