Collapse

Collapse

A Poem by Tyler Berg

Collapse in denial

and fake that smile

Collapse in tears

throughout the years

Collapse in solitude

nightmares intrude

Collapse and shout

for all the souls in doubt

Collapse in Rage

and escape your cage

Collapse like before

on some distant shore

Collapse in happiness

and forget the listlessness

Collapse and fall

forget them all

Collapse and dream

not as bad as it seems

Collapse in awhile

and force a smile

Collapse to forget

all of the bullshit

Collapse to remember

the pain of surrender

Rememer your mistakes

and remember the fear

and remember the world goes on

without you here

It doesnt just collapse

I love this absolutely. The way it ends, the flow of the words, has a "downward spiral" type of feel to it... which creates the feeling of collapse... yet, the words say "It doesn't just collapse"... brilliant.
