Requiem, Repose

Requiem, Repose

A Poem by Erik A. Harris
"

Restless am I.

"
Requiem, sleep tonight.
My repose remains a blight
upon my mind, everlasting,
ever casting a shadow
over my pitiful plight,
that I may not rest
til out to sea.
Whilst my body burns,
my soul sails upon the sea tonight.
Requiem, repose my soul this time,
that in death I shall see the light,
everlasting, ever casting that shadow
upon my life. Requiem, repose tonight.

No, I wouldn't think I'm Poe, I'm not addicted to Morphine for one thing.
