Fault

Fault

A Poem by Anonymous
"

She'll never see this, but I mean it. I feel so stupid.

"
The world has collapsed onto your shoulder,
A slap in the face by ice that couldn't be colder...
A sob that's cracking, malfunction of my heart,
The reason that was deceived is now torn apart.

The fault was yanked into play by my insolence;
I'll try to fix it with a cry of apologetic ambiance...
I was given one, two, three last chances by you,
But Earth's a running river of tears painted blue.

I'm the Boy crying Wolf with my arrogance ahead,
But now the Boy should be found and shot dead.
When I could smile and dance within my fantasy,
I skipped right past your crying, too sad to see.

If you came to me and told me to jump off the cliff
I'd nod and step air, making quick with a muffled riff...
I'd burn all my words and prized arts once so dear
If that would bring your happiness a slight bit near.

Wow your use of imagery was beautiful and very insightful. I particularly like the final lines "I'd burn all my words and prized arts once so dear/If that would bring your happiness a slight bit near". Very nicely worded and relatable. Seriously, good job! :)
