Heroes

Heroes

A Poem by Unbeliever
"

This is an British political poem about the effects of our Governments over the last 20 years and the damage they have done to our Working Class

"
Social conscious, f****n' nonsense,
That's been dead since Maggie led.
Revolution, mass confusion,
Blood is bled by our Hero Plebs.
Blood is bled by our Hero Plebs.

She took my milk and shut our pits,
Broke our placards, but not our spirits.
She stole our rights when we joined arms,
Couldn't drown our spirits or our psalms.

School fields are owned by Tesco,
Labour Party less friend more foe.
Illegal wars and student fees,
Abuse of rights, no parities.

Social conscious, f****n' nonsense,
That's been dead since Maggie led.
Revolution, mass confusion,
Blood is bled by our Hero Plebs.
Blood is bled by our Hero Plebs.

All broadsheets and redtop papers,
Just headlines and Jordan's capers.
Poor sad fools call up 606,
Daily Mail - 'Blame the Ethnics'.

Social conscious, f****n' nonsense,
That's been dead since Maggie led.
Revolution, mass confusion,
Blood is bled by our Hero Plebs.
Blood is bled by our Hero Plebs.

Bloody brilliant! Living in England too every word of this resonates, your repeated chorus has utter passion and throughout you really express the disallusionment we've all come to feel for the govt. Yet despite the rage and animosity you don't sound like you're giving up, you sound like you're trying to wake people up, and that is a very powerful impression to leave.
