Unattended

Unattended

A Story by UnderTheRadar
"

A very short story about the weight of secrets.

"
I walked into church this morning carrying something heavy.  A bag of sin hanging off one shoulder.  I was acutely aware of its presence. A bag of sharp little reminders telling me that I. Am. Unworthy. I had my biggest secret sitting on the pew beside me.  I didn't want to bring it, but it's too risky to leave it unattended. Even these words are risky. Just another thing to hide. Hide the blades, Hide the scars, Hide the words.  Hide the f*****g emotions.  Keep letting them think you're doing great.  Show them what they want to see, don't bother them with the truth, and never, NEVER leave the bag unattended.

About
I am choosing writing as an outlet. My "stories" are very short, very personal. Maybe they will never even be seen, but I have an indescribable need to write them. more..
