Thank You For The Memories

Thank You For The Memories

A Poem by Unloved_kitty

Who do you think you are?
Walking around breaking hearts,
Forgetting that people have feelings.
You're playing a dangerous game,
With my heart,
Making me fall in love with you,
Then leaving me out in the rain.
Your lies wont work,
No not anymore,
I've become numb,
To your sweet talk.
I can't return,
To the safety of your arms,
The comfort oh yes I will miss,
Your soft lips touching mine,
The warm feeling I get is indescribable.
But no, no I can't go back,
I'm stronger then that,
I don't love you,
Or so I tell myself,
But no matter how many times,
I repeat that line,
My heart knows the truth.
Thank you for the memories,
And for the lesson,
Never fall in love with someone,
Someone who doesn't love you back.
