Stumbling Across These Words

Stumbling Across These Words

A Poem by UpComesDown

Death,

It's common, right?

So what would you do if I died?

Would you come out with a light?

Would you try to see it happen?

Would you even care?

Would the truth be unvealed?

If I did what no one dared?

Would you cry?

As you watch me fall?

As I prepared to take my leap,

I would make a call.

You would say 'hello',

I would say 'good-bye'.

Then you'd find my remains,

And shout to the heavens 'why?'

'What happened" you'd ask

'What was her life like?

What drove her to this?

What started her plight?'

From this place,

I would embrace Lifes warmness,

And as conscienceness fades,

I'd fall toward the darkness.

I chose my path.

The time has come,

To make my call.

It has begun.
