To Deal With Monsters

To Deal With Monsters

A Poem by Uranus
"

Tips on how to deal with your monsters.

"

For years, I have been running away from the monsters inside me.
I thought I had escaped, I thought everything is fine, everything is well.
I thought everything was fine.

But the monsters I had thought I had escaped from, are creeping back to my head - swirling like black clouds in the sky, then pouring out a heavy rain of negative feelings!
I was wet. I always get wet.

So I ran again. Again and again, I kept on running.
I want to run away from these feelings only me can see.
I am wounded, and these wounds are not healing.
I am wounded, but only me can feel.

So I ran again. Again and again, I kept on running.
Then I realised - you cannot run away from what's on your head.
You can't run away from something that's stamped in your fate.
This is my fate.
And I accept my fate.

I will never run away again.
I will never let these monsters defeat me again.
I will stop running.

So I need to stop existing.
