A Poem by Rana Adalwolfa Simon

I don't really like this one. But I needed to get day 21 of National Poetry Month wrapped up and this it what I got.

It's not the world
that's draining me,
left dozing endless
upon the floor.
Not noises of
incessant screams
that leave me
aching to my core.
This heartache calling
from deep within
the source of all
this misery.
The question now
will I succumb
to this exhaustion
consuming me?

I'm not happy with this one and not sure I want to revisit it, but one can always learn from critique, so go for it.
