Strawberry

I'm taking a Writer's Seminar class and for this particular prompt...I had to write as poem about a Strawberry using all my senses with taste being last...Oh And I really did drop my Strawberry!

The redness bleeds onto my hands leaving the stains of longing on my fingertips

Intoxicating

Invigorating

The scent of a fruity perfume

wafting through my nostrils

taking a joy ride through my bloodstream

The cradles for the seeds

hiding the secrets only my mouth can unleash

I bite

The taste making me feel as if my taste buds have overdosed on the sweetest of drugs

Then it slips through my fingers

escaping me, my tongue, my senses

It lands on the carpet with no whisper of a sound

But the taste is still lying on my tongue

The seeds still stuck to my teeth

My experience is over

The strawberry is underneath me

That was awesome E! I loved it...even with the strawberry falling...lol
You mispelled "Taste" :)

Your really were able to bring the experience of a strawberry to the reader. Every sense felt alive and pulsated with the sudden need to have a strawberry as well!
