Sunset

Sunset

A Poem by rachielle

It caught me as a surprise,

When you took me to that place

And I saw the breathtaking blanket of orange

Silhouetted by the concrete jungle below-

That moment will forever be embedded in my head.

I hear your voice,

I feel the awe in mine.

I feel the joy,

As we take in those last few drops of sunshine.

Oh, you caught me off guard again,

Like you always do;

You never knew-

You never will.

And so the story goes,

The girl and boy shall part their ways,

But no matter what,

There shall remain that glorious summer day.

What a wondrous memory brought alive in the rich color of the sunset.. And though time passes, it is a moment that will exist forever.. That joy in that shared time... Beautiful!

I love your description of that glorious summer day. It becomes real as if the reader is transported into that glorious summer day. You have a very strong writers voice. Excellent!

Ah! A typical summer love! Isn't it exciting how the brevity of such relationship becomes unforgettable? Short, but they are always the most memorable.
Like the sunset, they will part ways. But in daybreak comes a new chance to love? Cute, but that's another story! :)

This is a great poem Rach.
So what if you haven't been writing, this just proves inspiration never runs out.
Keep it up Rach,

Huggggggz xD
