The inner workings of love

Love. 

 

Love is found and captured, 

encaged into the prisons of different hearts. 

 

It seems like every day we do just that, 

a repetition of truth among those who truly understand.

 

Love. 

 

Love beautifies all the things that are mysterious and dark, 

making them feel special, sweet, and tender. 

 

It defies hate and doubt, 

because there is no place for sorrow, 

there is no room for greed or regret, 

only happiness and joy.

 

Love. 

 

Love is endless in its gentle glory. 

 

It will be there waiting patiently, 

a thousand times,

and a thousand more, never quitting.

 

Love. 

 

Love feeds life a thousand times, and never tires, 

nourished by hope and faith, it never judges.

 

It is a marvelous agreement between souls, 

everlasting strength and fortitude amongst all created things.

It will never disappear into the crowd.

It will always exist.

It is love.
