Galactic Pool

Galactic Pool

A Poem by K. Louis

the other night
I thought repetitively
about how my tears
turn to knives and turn on
me.
that,
written down for memory.

today at this
muddy table
thinking about
last night
how i lied back on it
and how i lay back on
it now, the blue
sky
drowning in the
pool
the way the stars
the universe
twirled

how i try to talk to god
and only ever
slightly
sometimes
half believe

in what i say/ask

and it takes sacrifice
doesn't it?

this is me, isn't it?
