"Revolving Door"

"Revolving Door"

A Poem by Valentine

     "Revolving Door"
Where were you the nights I cried;
Laying upon my bed alone?
All of the days, I sat and prayed;
Waiting for you to just write or phone.

Where were you, when others laughed,
For I had played the fool again?
Believing all that you had said,
Dying inside with no helping hand.

Where were you when I gave up on life;
And did not care what I had become?
Just like you, playing love's game...
Then leaving... once I had won.

All that was good inside...I gave to you;
You took and then turned and walked away.
All promises...were like drifting sand;
Pain was left in me...where you once lay.

Now... you walk into my life again.,
Just like you did to me, once before;
Just go back to where ever you came;
Love to me... is not...a revolving door.

You come back now, that it is too late;
That love once felt, has turned to hate.

Valentine, a true artist can find the poem or story in others lives as well as their own. Learning to transform it into verse is where the talent lies. First class.

In real life. Good marriage turn cold when once lovers and friend turn strangers.
"You come back now, that it is too late;
That love once felt, has turned to hate."
Very hard to find the place that was lost and forgotten. Thank you dear Poet for sharing the outstanding poetry.

My pleasure to read your work and you are welcome.
This is amazing. Love the way this one is penned. Reminds me of Christina perri's "who do you think you are ". Great job :)

A tearful read.. Yep, you have to let the door keep revolving and not let that someone in... again.
