"Willow"

"Willow"

With a slight variation in the last line!!

"Willow"

"Willow"

Please willow...do not weep for me.
Just spread your branches and let me see,
The sun shine upon your willowy limbs.
As you do your good-bye dance for him

Then enfold me...and hold me tight;
That through your waving leaves, I just might;
See sunbeams dance...and gracefully...
Sweetly smile...as love walks peacefully...

Away from me and your willowy limbs.
Please willow...just wave good-bye,
And do not let me... weep for him.

Once again, you write in a way so that others can 'feel' your pain. Excellent!

Short, and easy piece for the reader to ponder. A very gentle, though sad write.
I personally have tender thoughts toward weeping willows. A hurricane passed through and brought down a couple of them on the golf course that I was managing at the time. I chained them and stretched wire on them and dug a wider hole for their roots. (They are quite shallow, to my surprise.) They once again stood and spread their limbs. They lived only another two years.
I spent many hours under those limbs... looking out. I know the view you describe here.

The theme willow weep for me ( it`s even a great jazz standard) is not new, but I really liked the way Valentine works this, with a relationship element written in, good work.
