Best Friends

Best Friends

A Poem by ChinaDoll1928
"

I wrote this when me and my best friend were no long friends. It's sad but in a happy way.

"
I sit in my room alone,
A smile on my face,
Tears in my eyes,
And I remember,
The times we cried,
The times we laughed,
The day we broke away,
And think to myself,
I miss you,
I miss our movie days,
Out internet surfing,
Our lunches.
Macaroni and cheese,
With shredded cheese,
Or chicken noodle soup,
With too much salt,
I laugh to myself,
As I laughed with you.
Even though,
Things didn't go as planned,
I'm glad we were friends,
I'm glad I got a chance,
To know you,
To call you my BEST friend,
To dance in the rain with you,
It makes me happy,
That you told me everything,
And vise versa,
No matter what happened,
Between you and I,
That girl I met in third grade,
Will always,
Be my best friend.
Even though,
We might never be again,
Those girls back in elementary school,
Are still best friends,
It makes me content,
In a way,
That makes me regret nothing.
