Every Morning

Every Morning

A Poem by Vesuvius

I was walking to the bus stop trying to keep my mind off of everything
So I looked towards the trees and focused on a decaying branch
But you were by the rocks and you reminded me of everything
Because when you said "Hey." the muscles in my mouth didn't seem to work
Then the bus pulled up and you got on before me
The scent of your perfume made my insides burst
I sat alone and the silence nearly killed me
I put headphones on to sheild me from this fucked up world
Then the bus pulled up and I got off before you
I found a group of people just to blend in
In the morning
Every morning

Not bad, but it's a little uninspired. The last two lines are probably the best part - you should think about cutting down on the rest of the poem or breaking them up so it's more artistic, and think about your word choice as well.

I like this. It is a commuter saga. I noticed that in line 5 and line 9 you have "the bus pulled up" I found it redundant. Maybe for line 9 you might want to consider something like "the bus stopped." (You can probably come up with something better.) Nice job.
