Breathe In

Somehow it's more of a song in my head than the intended English sonnet.

There comes a time, when you need to rewind.
Take a moment to see, what's really going on.
Sometimes in the dark, that's when you find.
All the missing pieces, you've needed all along.

Life sort of hands you, challenges and dreams.
Changes up the paths, and the roads on the way.
It's all up to you, as hard as it seems.
To give to it your all, and never stay.

You've gotta live your life, day by day.
Never think twice, just do it.
Be careful though of words, of what you say.
Those are the things, that can ruin it.

So breathe in, and out.
One day, you'll figure it out.

When they're home time is short, but I'm trying to fit in a bit more writing while they're in school and I'm stuck inside due to the cold and snow :)

There's a good topic for a poem.....
Outside,freezing white silence,
winters now taken its hold,
no reason to venture on outwards,
leave that to the foolish and bold.

And so on...
