A special poem for Renee

An acrostic poem for my best friend <3

Instantly, the lightly flashes on the forest below

 

Wooden spirits flee at the might of the storm

Olden trees burst into fire

Undead creatures screaming as the holy might rains downward

Long lost monsters run in fear

Death herself, sweeping down, riding the bolts

 

Devilish action taken by holy beings

Incinerating the world, baking it to a crisp

Endangering all that is dear to us

 

Fearing for our lives, we run

Over the mountains, across the wide oceans and

Rivers, seeking unholy ground untainted by the heavens

 

Your family, somewhere safe in a far land

Orders from the top tell me to save you

Under their command, I do all I can

 

Hopefully, this next hill will be our haven

Anguished angels usher us away, towards the sea

People swarm to the frozen waters

Polar in Nature, but firy in this world

Ice turns to desert under the burning fury

Last chance, I say, run to the center, the center of it all

You face me, as I turn to the gods, my final feat of strength.
