One mid-October evening,
clear sky, an ethereal purple
beyond simple human expression.
And how fitting...
for on this night, an angel died;
a lonely lily wilted and fell.
The last words, a plea:
a complete stranger,
a legacy to continue,
a love to cling to,
a love which the dead cannot have,
but the living can.
A desperate, powerful voice;
words of hope
spoken through pitious tears.
Already, the darkness grows on the edge of her eyes;
an epilogue preserved forever.
A gravesite statue sails the sea...
a sea of numbers, uncaring as the world was to her,
but kept afloat by those who care.
The Lily blooms forever more.
