Shooting star

Shooting star

A Poem by Virginia

I looked up and saw a shooting star..
I closed my eyes..joined little hands to wish for a birthday gift..
I always went out to find it every other day..
Then said somebody, that it doesn't come always..
Next wish was from bed..to God to make me see a shooting star next night..

Days rolled into nights...

I once stopped going out...to search for a shooting star..

Now when I walk down the memory lane..I want those days back...
I could do nothing..

All I could do is..stand below the black sky..look above and wait for a shooting star...

I need no birthday gift today..

All I need is a life..
A life I always dreamt..
A wooden house..and a farm..
Far away from the people around..

A life like I saw in books..
The books that had pictures that are still glued to my mind..
The fairy tales I could ever forget...

All I could do is..stand below the black sky..look above and wait for a shooting star...

Reminds me the day when I first had seen a shooting star! Still I wait to see that again to make a wish. Amazing read.
