A Poem by Virtual Phun

But it's now the day.

Slipping off tonight into my fantasy again,
No rollecoasters, no reality, no crashing waves,
And though I hate to face the bed again tonight 'cause I'm afraid of the day,
I know the nerves won't numb out as much as I lay wide awake.

And though I hate the sleep because it eats the hours so fast away
Sometimes I wished I were dead instead of having my fears to face.
It's just a phase,
My life's a phase,
And though I'm scared,
And though I face,
I'm on a train,
To tomorrow from today,
Please tell tomorrow to be more fair than yesterday.
Please tell tomorrow to be more present than my today.
