Ask About The Masks

Ask About The Masks

A Poem by The StoryTeller
"

Again, just read it.

"
Masks. The old friend. Violet, red, blue, purple, black. All you have to do is ask.

Ask anyone and they'll tell you about the masks. When they see them on others. When they see them on themselves. All you have to do is ask.

So ask. Ask away. See the pain these people face. Ask about the masks.

That's amazing! I know how it feels to walk around a society that is concealed within stoic faces - faces that aren't even real, at that - and you can't tell if you're being told the truth or not, because everything is said and done without an emotion to express the way one feels about a subject. Sorry... that was a long sentence. Anyway, I do like the idea of this piece.

I like the idea here but the layout is difficult to read and the punctuation does not seem purposely displaced.

everyone ears a mask and I think the way you address it so plainly emphasizes that point "all you have to do is ask"

I think you have a point here Resilient, and I liked the idea of colors representing the different things people are going through.

and sometimes they just won't tell you what is underneath, they don't want to burden others with those truths, so they wear the masks tighter.
