Masquerade

Masquerade

A Poem by Vows Of Death
"

Don't be such a folly, and be aware of many things, behind my subliminal meanings.

"

Welcome to my

Masquerade,

Try to not be too afraid.

With wine and cakes and endless tea,

We celebrate eternally.

The only rule is wear your mask,

Don't tell your name if you are asked.

Simply tell them your own disguise,

Here what matters is seen with the eyes.

A big charade of endless fun
Hurry, love, it has begun.

Every way you choose to glance,

Will ask you "may I have this dance?"

And though the fun may seem quite swell,

This place will soon become your hell.

You walk to the door but its too far to go,

And the Hour never seems to grow...

You try to sit but your whisked away,
It would do you no good anyway.

You'd just be forced to dance again,

As punishment for all your sins

Now waltz a waltz made to atone,

And feel as if you're all alone.

And yet still you do not ask,
How others feel behind their mask.
