An experimental piece to help me find my voice with poetry

You are love in the purest of definitions
Of what can only be described as a series of equations
With beauty that is beyond anyone else's calculations
But I get a glimpse when I get these strong sensations
The answers I seek are in your own complications

You are love in my mind's eye
No matter how hard I try to defy
And fight against becoming flustered and shy
Whenever I hear you or see you nearby
I just hope that I never have to say goodbye

You are love if love took a form
Of an umbrella to protect me from the storm
Or a blanket of love to keep me warm
You're the only one who can make me transform
Make me think about my desires and conform

You are love's better half
With your bright smile and laugh
I want us to be matching halves
But I fear your heart I'll never have
You have mine and no girl ever has

I don't know where all this inspiration is coming from. I was camp counselor for a week for kids with muscular dystrophy and I met this one girl from England who was camp counselor, also. I barely know her but she's on my mind and I think of her for some reason when I write these. Anyways, thank you for your time in reading this poem. -Ian

Yes she's been my muse for the past few poems I've posted. But I doubt she'll she these rhymes or poems. She's just too... I don't know, perfect to be with a simple guy like me. But I don't mind.

When I use the term "out of her league" it usually means that she's a few levels up from the league I'm able to play in. xD But she is something. I haven't found such beauty combined with such a loving personality in this life before her.

Fallen hard? I use to stand tall and hold my own sort of confidence. But those days are long gone and I'm on the long journey back up to the summit of the mountain. Trying, at least. For some reason, I always think that a woman's touch is like an angel's and can help.
