I surrender
To the reality of change
We must bend to it
As flowers must bend to wind
It isn't always beautiful
But it is inevitable

I surrender
To the illusions of love
We must bathe in it
As nature baths in the sun
It isn't always pretty
But it is inevitable

I surrender
To the truth of myself
I must come one with the bad
As much as the good
It isn't always peaceful
But it is inevitable

I surrender
To everything around me
I must accept all losses
As I gratefully accept all wins
It isn't always easy
But it is inevitable

I really do love the format of this poem. It seems so structured compared to the topics it covers. Also, I like how you make us know that 'surrendering' to certain things is inevitable, just as in this poem "But it is inevitable," will inevitably finish each stanza.

Aside from the structure, I thought that your choice of words really helped to make this poem flow. I love the imagery you chose in the very first stanza,
"I surrender
To the reality of change
We must bend to it
As flowers must bend to wind
It isn't always beautiful
But it is inevitable"

From that point on your piece became entirely enthralling to me. Thank you very much for sharing! I am not the best reader of poems, but this piece really caught my eye (:
