Say It To Me

Say It To Me

A Poem by Ian Faraway
"

This is second of the three poems I found, that is Happy Love

"

Whisper "I love you"

And I'll be okay.

Whisper "I love you"

Then everything else just fades away

Speak to me softly, talk to me gently

And as I close my eyes

You lean over to kiss me

This moment of silence isn't for grief

This moment of silence is my relief

As you take my hand, now I understand

That waiting so long was never really wrong

And as I close my eyes

You lean over to kiss me

You speak to me softly

You talk to me gently

You whisper "I love you"

and I smile contently

Perfect on both sides of reading and writing of a simple short and sweet poem. It was just beautiful making me smile and my heart light as it rhymed oh so well. Marvelous job for silent Dreamer was right. This was so sweet and cut with a magnificent flow of words from the heart.
