Emergency Room For Nothing

Emergency Room For Nothing

A Poem by The Twin Arenas
"

a long, long time.

"

That hospital is haunted.
It's a haunted hospital.

My chair had a cigarette on it
and the dust I licked
my fingers.

One of them starts singing
and the other one guesses
This will be the day

the scene is ten million years old
nobody understands
nobody understands how this works.

Why don't the two of you turn into thunderbirds?

The depth of this piece is eerie, and remarkable. I loved every bit.

this is my favorite. please put all your poems together into a tiny book so i can carry it around in my coat pocket and pull out to read by streetlight under an umbrella while i'm waiting on the bus.

I like the way you echo your lines, it creates a rhythm with no need of rhyme

Rain dance? I'm sure the drought would be over if they became thunderbirds as would winter.. I'm probably really far off in my interpretation of this but then again this is normal for me.

That's kind of eerie... Is it the death song?
Gives me chills WS.

Have you played Fallout?
There's a few eerie scenes in that game, well, all of them...

What haunts us most is the lack of understanding... Depth here, WS - more than meets they eye.

In the movie "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" the story was suppose to be about a man
trying to avoid hard labor by serving out his time in a mental institution. It became a
movie about a haunted place of subtle humiliations and needless treatments. In the end,
nobody understands how it works because in haunted places, no one ever does.

a very interesting poem waconda//dana
