Corduroy

Corduroy

A Poem by The Twin Arenas
"

what is this.

"
some people
when they walk
it sounds good
and is remembered
like a song

on a good day
I'll almost fall in
love with someone
a little uglier than you
were

This reads interesting. I like the sort of bluntness in your words but in a positive sense. Simplicity almost perfected in your words.

Tip o' the hat to you on this gem.

Hmm…not quite sure I know what this means. At all. Haha.

P.S. Care to take a look at my novel, HIM? I'd like to send it in for publishing but won't until I feel I have enough feedback from people. (:

It's an old story. We all know the drill.
Love the title of this - in fact its what drew me in. Cord-du-roy - once only affordable by the king - ergo du roy - of the king.
I feel the desperate longing in this one for a past relationship and the willingness to self abuse (going deliberately with ones that arent as good looking as she was) just to prove a point. Perhaps.
Intriguing Waconda. :)

Haha, I pity the poor, little uglier sod.
It can't be a nice way to be memorialized!
Great words here, great work!
