Plastic Wrap - Second Poem

Plastic Wrap - Second Poem

A Poem by Colin Miller
"

This poem has nothing to do with me. I don't have emotional problems about murdering people with plastic wrap. I thought it sounded well and I enjoy poems that rhyme.

"

Plastic wrap in the cupboard.

Ready for use.

But what you don’t know.

Is that it’s your noose.

Plastic wrap in the cupboard.

Waiting for food

But what you don’t know

Is that it’s your snood

Plastic wrap in the cupboard.

Clear as can be.

But what you don’t know.

Is that I was an escapee

A snood is also something a women wears on her head. So don't come to me asking what it is.

I like that the last lines of each stanza tells a sinister plot, while the other three lines are innocently written. I think if you added some detail to the other three lines as well, spent some time there to introduce the "alternate" happenings to the sinister escapee, it would create more contrast and be more interesting to the reader.
