Picture It

Picture It

A Poem by Rebekah Smith
"

This was entirely spontaneous...

"
Picture a planet of blue & of green
Spinning around in a black that's supreme
Aside from glowing pinpricks of stars
Burning gaseous balls, miles apart.

And on that coloured, spinning sphere
That we have, suspended here
The conditions are exactly right
To birth all varied branches of life.

Tiny molecules of Hydrogen & Helium
Made waves of energy and I'm still feelin' 'em
We're compiled out of the same stuff as the stars
We're all family, just scattered far apart
And if you'd listen to your spirit and your heart
You'd understand it's been this way right from the start.

Things develop into other things.
Energy is never destroyed.
Nature always takes the easiest path -
A strategy we haven't deployed.

Pushing for instant gratification
Steeped in the blood & bones of nations
But the people on the streets boil with frustration
So I wanna know: what's the real motivation?
The world is being turned into a giant corporation
But I don't know one person who wants that.
They're passing bits of legislation
So silently, we can't fight back.

But then again, we don't have the brains
This education is a sham
Making knowledge & wisdom sources of pain
And molding all the kids that it can
Into direction-taking,
Smile-faking morons

With heads full of rules, shame & fear
When they started out reactive, like Boron

Fizzing with electric-spark ideas.

My emotion and my intellect
Can be a struggle to connect
Sometimes, it's more feeling than words
Speaking the language that cannot be heard.

Energy, subtle vibrations and more
Are all being neglected.
And all of our aching spirits are sore
Because LOVE is being rejected.
Misdirected, chopped and screwed
We don't know what the f**k to do
The answer lies in being TRUE -
The one thing we refuse to do.

There's no place for love in this world of men.
And this world has to fall.
Rebuilt from the ashes, to rise again -
A world created for all.

This poems speaks volumes on the human condition today (materialism, laziness, greed and hatred).
'Energy, subtle vibrations and more
are all being neglected
and all of our aching spirits are sore
because love is being rejected'.
There, in the above words, you wonderfully and poetically capture our human divine spiritual nature and the ignoring of it in our modern materialistic society.

You are truly wise to appreciate and be aware of the simple yet vital elemental aspects of our human experience on this beautiful yet misunderstood Earth.

well done
