Cadence

Cadence

A Poem by Jennifer Hopkins
"

It started with one line - the rest feels forced to me.

"
We're going to a place
Where the world cannot follow
The cadence of our hips.

As we escape the strains
Of this chimerical existence
Through unapologetic bliss.

Your hands leave trails
Of sweet unknowing
And I'm lost in the sensation
Of living
Between you and my requisite province.

Let's not label this
And discard the enigmatic wonder
Laced in the taste
When our lips and worlds collide.

hmm... it flowed very beautifully for me.. there was a highlight in every verse, I love cadence of our hips, chimerical existence.. sensation of living... that last verse quite the treat.. elegantly expressed.
