Love Lost

Love Lost

A Poem by WaronIdiocy

Love lost behind a heavy door
Not one slammed
But fell ever slowly
With a never faltering, agonizing pace
And all I could do was watch

I tried in vain
With all my might I tried
To fling back that cursed obstruction
With never ceasing vigor I tried
And all I got was pain

Love in glimpses I have spied
Briefly in the crack
Unreachable untouchable
Each time filled with hope
And each time more painful than before

Pacing on the outside
Ever hopeful
That Love may find a way
To return
And until then I wait
