Uncle Charlie Reindeer

Uncle Charlie Reindeer

A Poem by Roderick Miller
"

Lets face it not all reindeer can be good guys

"
He shows up late to work
On the busiest night of year
Its his eyes that glow and not his nose
And his breath still smells like beer
He's Uncle Charlie Reindeer

He spent last night with a doe named Trixie
But what they did he just can't recall
Now as Dancer and Prancer are all set to go
He's still passed out in his stall
He's Uncle Charlie Reindeer

There are many just like Uncle Charlie
And we love them just the same
Patty's uncle Bill, Tommy's uncle Scott
All Charlies of a different name

As the sleigh pulled away that evening
Uncle Charlie wasn't with the team
He was down at the Grinchs bar
Getting filled up on Jimmy Beam

He's the one who ran over grandma
When she was walking home that Christmas eve
He was loaded up on rum and cokes
But he claims he just fell asleep
He's uncle Charlie Reindeer

There are many just like Uncle Charlie
It may be sad but it is true
So when you're making your list
You'd better check it twice
Cause Uncle Charlie may be you
