This is a piece I made for a story I was thinking about. It still needs climax and so forth but I think I'd be a pretty interesting Action/Romance between Tess and Royal...

"

At first I wasn't too sure about everything, still being new to it all. It was like the world was trying to work in my favor but I wouldn't let it. I'd wander around for a while looking for something to do, recent memories slipping into my mind but I didn't know how to respond to them and at times, I didn't know if I actually wanted to. I was done with school and I was working on being a writer so I enjoyed the silence I got every day. I got paid regularly for small articles down at small shops needing a good review. Life was good but was it complete? What exactly would complete me? Questions I didn't have an answer too, so I'd just go along with my days and find out when I could. Then it all turned.

I was offered a job in France to work with the C.E.O of a large company in need of a writer. I was told to reply in three days. Being 19 I said yes of course, unaware of how much of how it'd affect me permanently. The man I was working for, I had always figured would be fairly shrewd and demanding, even though he wasn’t a man at all. He was 22, tall and liked to wear classy suits and apparel. He had jagged choppy dark pitch black hair with pale green eyes that almost made him look blind. I didn't know what to think of him on the first week, already being sucked into his world of mass threats and long nights. I knew he was surprised when I didn't freak out and quit. But why didn't I quit? I didn't know, but I was glad I stuck around. Even if it was for all the wrong reasons…

My name was Mori Tess Jane’s. I was called Tess most of the time when my mother passed away. I live in Huston Texas for a long while until I was moved to Wales, England for my new job. My employer was an Author who made multiple stories, articles, shows and comics out of every day happenings from his point of view. He called them Dessitrix after his name. Royal Dessitrix was his full name. He was a cunning smart and highly skilled man of many talents. He was strong and very fast with his movements, all because he was a Demon. If I had known that when I signed the paper to with him I would have but it was too late. He gave me a chance to redeem myself but I decided not to. This life was too much fun to pass up. He was pleased with my offer and made me his assistant to accompany him whenever he was "brain storming". At first I passed out from all the fear I had gotten from just being around at the time. He knew it'd happen eventually so he didn't comment. I refused to follow him after that and he didn't mind, letting me stick to what I was being paid for. I would go home on some nights and be fearful of my own safety after what I had seen that night and what I had heard. The ear splitting sounds and the pain I had endured was terrible... But I wanted more. In was seeking a rush and Royal knew it the morning I walked into his office. He gave me q grin as I asked him for what he called “another taste of freedom". Willingly he agreed and gave me an assignment. He wanted me to follow him down to one of the old fishing lore docks and wait. I did what he asked without a question even though I want to know what I was waiting for. After that night I figured I’d be waiting for a thing but I was wrong, it was a person.
He was a demon s I suspected. He talked and asked me simple questions like my name and where I was from. I lied about both. I stared at his jagged teeth as he flashed me a grin. I flinched before I just stared. It was the only thing I could do, or so I thought. He leaped towards me and in reaction I stepped back. He hit the wood and released a fairly loud screech, making my skin crawl. He thrashed his arms out trying to grab my foot so I quickly forced my shoes onto his hands. He cursed and stood up quickly. I swung and quickly hit him in the eye. He stepped away and raged in pain. I wasn't sure what had happened knowing I wasn't that strong... But I couldn't be too sure.  He dived at me, locking us both into the water with a rough entrance. I thrashed and kicked several times, hitting him in the head and jaw until he pulled of me. Through anger and I made my way over to him and swung into his head once more. As I was pulling away I felt something sharp pierce my skin as the water started to go red. Running out of air I dashed towards the surface, gasping for air. I franticly looked around but all I saw was the shore. I doves back under the water but he was gone. Relieved I swam onto the sand, pressing a piece of cloth to my ankle tying it around. Did he set me up? Was he trying to kill me or proven point? All these questions came to mind when I saw Royal slowly making his way down the beach, wearing a new dark uniform to match his sketchy grin. I didn't speak to him as he helped me up. I started at him and cried. I tried to force the tears away bur u didn't work and I broke down, falling onto the sand. He placed his hand on my head, whispering to himself. All he said was “It was a test, calm down" before lifting me up. He held me to his chest as he hummed to himself walking back to his car as the night went on.
