Plains of Deciept

Plains of Deciept

A Poem by Wael Rafik
"

Gothic Poem

"

How do you expect me to feel the pain, in a world that is going blind. Maybe winter came so soon, but here I am, my heart cracked as wells of hope are running dry for me

I gaze into the endless clouds as cold grips my heart,

Will flowers wither as winter conquers my dreams

Grey shadows paint their grief, their final art

Bitter words are frozen as I cry in the plains

Innocence is slaughtered, beauty is dead , Wretched are the lives of those who oppose

Blooming young hearts darkened by truth, Now by deceit they are fed

Dripping lives like withered leaves on the path to decay

Drowned In humanity’s tears as we fade away

So beautiful is the color of silence yet bitter is its taste

Watch and shiver as we all fade away

The tides will never turn your fate is sealed

Do we have to suffer much more to realize

how beautiful Our life had been with no lies

Blind fold my eyes with your lies but reality is revealed
