Mother

Mother

A Poem by Peaches

As a mother I would be there
To watch them day by day
To hold their hand and wish
All the boogie men away
But as a mother I have learned
To be there day by day
And stand aside so they can learn
While I'm here to guide their way

You wish to save them the grief
You know will find them all
But instead stand beside them
To catch them when they fall
And wait for that day
That each of us much reach
When we treasure every word
Our mother tried to teach

About
