The Challenge

The Challenge

A Poem by Peaches

Some challenges test your mind
They spin inside your head
Teasing you, baiting you
Until at last you have the answer

Some challenges test your heart
They batter at the walls
Waiting for you to break
Until at last you stand unbroken

Some challenges test your will
They plead and beg
They whine at you to get what they want
Until at last the words are silent

Some challenges are as old as time
They push you to stand up
To do what needs to be done
Until at last you are standing in the sun
Your challenge behind you
And all the world laid out before you

And you are free....
